Tharagai – A Part Of NASA Day Celebration
CAAD embraces value based social initiatives and our students have taken up an educational social responsibility to transpire experiential learning to young kids. As a part of NASA Day Celebration CAAD students are organising “Tharagai”a one day trip for young kids from Open Door Orphanage to Dakshin Chitra. This initiative is entirely managed by students from seeking the necessary permissions to organising the logistics for the trip. Expenses are met through crowd funding from among the compassionate CAAD family.
To quote the organising team “Childhood is considered to be peak of our creative and curious spirit. Children are the most creative, active and enthusiastic. The pandemic has pushed them inside four walls. Even though it’s extremely necessary for their safety, and wellbeing, the quarantine has been starving children of the exposure they need. Now that the pandemic restrictions are loosened for a bit, we would like to feed their curious spirit with a one-day trip to Dakshin Chitra” Our CAAD student organisers are confident that the trip will provide the much-needed respite for the kids after Covid and also provide an open environment for experiential learning about the rich Indian heritage and design values.
