Sub: CAAD management hosted a Meeting with eminent sports persons in the region to enhance the sports activities at the CAAD campus and promote sportsmanship among the wider community around CAAD

Inculcating good sportsmanship in among students and youth sports has far fetching physical and mental benefits. Parents and coaches must be intentional about teaching kids to develop a team player attitude. Taking cognisance of the same CAAD convened a meeting with eminent sports persons on 06.11.2022.

Prof. Dr. V. R. Rajendran, Chairman of CAAD- Chennai Academy of Architecture and Design convened a meeting with eminent sports person from towns proximate to CAAD. Prof. Vinodh, Director CAAD briefed the sportsmen team about the initiatives at CAAD to provide a proportionate education system of which sports activities are an integral part. 

CAAD chairman evinced his interest to expand his vision of inculcating sportsmanship and well being beyond the confines of the CAAD campus and sought ideas from the sportsmen during the discussion. In a very fruitful meeting that extended for more than an hour, various ideas for short term and long term were deliberated. Based on the request from the sportspersons, CAAD Chairman kindly consented to conduct a regional level sports meet at the CAAD campus to promote sportsmanship among the young minds.
