CAAD students and staff members celebrated Diwali on 7th November 2015 to foster and cherish cultural diversity. The celebration started with students bursting crackers and exchanging sweets and concluded in group photo sessions and high tea.

Renowned pottery craftsman Mr. Palani Swamy from Dakshin Chitra with 19 years of experience conducted the workshop. He demonstrated the traditional method of making clay and various pottery techniques using the potter’s wheel.

His presentation deliberated on the best practices used and various concerns on site like rainwater harvesting, solar paneling, use of salvaged materials, efficient irrigation patterns, types of trees, percolation of water, etc. were discussed in particular. He discussed the various green concepts that were employed that resulted in the building being awarded the greenest factory in the country under industrial design.
