On April 1, 2017, as part of CAAD Lecture Series L16024, Ar. Lavanyaa addressed the students of CAAD about the evolution of traditional performing art centers and theatres, as dictated by the ancient texts of India. She elaborated on the various classifications of theatre spaces, the ancient directives governing their design and the versatility and requirements of performing arts as a building function, through her detailed understanding of performance spaces and her nuances as a Bharatanatyam dancer
