Education Today Publications, a market leader in Education Magazines in the region had conducted a seminar for higher secondary students aspiring to join engineering, architecture and other fields of study. Prof. Vinodh Vijayakumar, Director of Chennai Academy of Architecture and Design participated in the educative sessions primarily handled by eminent academicians such as Dr.Kalanidhi, Former Vice Chancellor of Anna University and Dr.K.Maran, Dean – Sri Sairam Management Institution, Chennai.

The event was followed by National Education Day Award ceremony commemorating the birthday of Maulana Abul Kalam Azad, senior political leader of the Indian independence movement and the first Minister of Education in the Indian Government. Academicians and Institutions were felicitated during the function in appreciation of their service to the community through their initiatives in the field of Education.

Chennai Academy of Architecture and Design was awarded the ‘Best Architecture Institution 2014’ under the New Institution category. Prof. Vinodh Vijayakumar received the award from Honorable Commissioner of Minorities Welfare Department Mr. A. Mohammed Aslam, I.A.S. Acclaimed academicians Dr.M. Ponna Vaikko, Vice Chancellor – Bharath University and Prof. JA. Tareen, Vice Chancellor – BS Abdul Rahman University, Chennai were also present during the event.
