Biography
Ms. Deepika’s concerns regarding issues related to the environment and sustainability urged her to pursue master’s degree in Environmental Design. The dissertation that she produced on the applicability of traditional vernacular architectural design in contemporary low-carbon domestic practice is also a result of the same. Following this she has been associated with an architectural practice in Chennai where she has worked on a number of residential projects based on vernacular building design.
Her other areas of interest in the field of architecture include climate and built environment, energy efficiency in buildings and sustainable construction materials. She is also passionate about history, culture and travel.
