The Celebration Ceremony of 70th Independence Day was jubilated in the premises of CAAD on 15th August 2016. Prof Vinodh Vijayakumar, Director, CAAD hoisted our National Flag and rendered his honor to the flag and our country’s independence. Sweets were distributed to all participants. The ceremony was attended by the faculty members, students and the college administration team. The event concluded informally with various game events for students and faculty.

The “National Awards Programme for Excellence in Architectural Thesis 2016” (NIASA) , an event of Council of Architecture, is being held at CAAD- Chennai Academy of Architecture & Design from 25th – 27th Aug, 2016, one of the only 5 colleges across India to host the shortlisting event. CAAD is a standalone college of architecture located in Thumbakkam, Chennai, emerging as one of the finest architectural colleges in India with its state-of-the art infrastructure and industry focused teaching methods.

CAAD – Chennai Academy of Architecture and Design conducted a 10 days international studio program in collaboration with SPU - Sripatum University, Bangkok, Thailand for their students. Global exposure to architecture education and practice are integral part of the teaching pedagogy at CAAD and devised to emplace the students with a competitive edge in their career.
