CAAD Silver Jubilee on “Architecture and Society”
On July 7, 2017, CAAD- Chennai Academy of Architecture and Design a standalone college of architecture located in Thumbakkam, Chennai hosted the Silver Jubilee Lecture titled “Architecture and Society” by Architect. Pramod Balakrishnan, at their campus in Thumbakkam. The architect addressed the students about the connections between humans, built environment and nature.
World Book Day Celebrations and CAAD Literary Club Inauguration
CAAD hosted the first Open House and Culturals on April 07, 2017 at the college premises in Thumbakkam. During the forenoon session, the campus was host to various eminent architects, dignitaries, students, their parents and architectural aspirants who were invited to witness the display of basic design and architectural design works produced by the students of CAAD as a part of their academic curriculum.
CAAD Students’s Works Exhibition at Gandhi Mandapam
Ar. Lavanyaa addressed the students of CAAD about the evolution of traditional performing art centers and theatres, as dictated by the ancient texts of India. She elaborated on the various classifications of theatre spaces, the ancient directives governing their design and the versatility and requirements of performing arts as a building function.

The signing ceremony of a Memorandum of Understanding took place at the CAAD campus, Chennai between Lincoln University College, Malaysia and CAAD-Chennai Academy of Architecture & Design, Chennai on the 25th March, 2017, opening doors for international and cross-cultural educational exchanges for the students andfaculty.
3-Days Meditation Workshop
