On 18th September 2015, CAAD organized a workshop on Model making as part of hands – on learning for the First year students. Professional model maker Mr. Deivam Deva conducted the workshop. He introduced various materials that can be used for model making explaining the properties of each material. Tools and techniques of using each material were also demonstrated to the students. Some of the materials that were demonstrated were Mill Board, PV board, Snow white sheet and Thermo Cole. Various cutting, scoring, folding and gluing techniques were also demonstrated.
This was followed by every student enthusiastically exploring various materials and techniques. The event was coordinated and organized by Art Studio Instructor Mr. Vinoth Kumar of CAAD.
