As Part of the CAAD’s Course Curriculum, Students visited the following places of Mahabalipuram – Five Rathas, Shore Temple, Arjuna’s Penance and Krishna’s Butter Ball. Practical experience made our Students to understand Pallava Temple Architecture.
As Part of the CAAD’s course curriculum, Chennai Academy of Architecture and Design’s students visited the Cholamandal Artists’ Village to do a case study on artist’s residences on 26th February 2015.
The students further explored the use of clay in evolving fluid forms and thoroughly enjoyed the fruitful workshop with high-spirited delight. Art Studio Mr.Vinoth Kumar from CAAD co-ordinated the workshop and ensured the essentials in order and the effective participation of one and all.
Students visited Dakshina Chitra to develop their live sketching skills perspective drawing as a part of the Art Studio programme. Students also took a walking tour in the premise along with the faculty to get acquainted to the construction methodologies and the building materials of the different vernacular architectural styles in the region.
As part of the Chennai Academy of Architecture and Design’s student’s skills development initiative, the Workshop on Photography was conducted on 13 September 2014 at CAAD.The strategic objective of the workshop was to expose the students to techniques in Photography aiding in documentation of their works.
