STRUCTURAL ENGINEERING RESEARCH CENTRE (SERC) VISIT

As a part of second year 4th  Semester curriculum students visited CSIR-Structural Engineering Research Centre (CSIR-SERC), Tharamani, Chennai on 4th March 2016 to gain knowledge about the innovative building materials and construction techniques on different components of buildings developed by the research organizations.

Students were exposed to the advanced construction system in casting roof slab for a residence at Navallur, Chennai on 2nd March 2016

Workshop on “Architectural Model making”

Professional model maker Mr. Deivam Deva conducted the workshop. He introduced various materials that can be used for model making explaining the properties of each material. Tools and techniques of using each material were also demonstrated to the students.

CAAD Participation at ArchiFest 2015, Singapore.

Professor Gadkari appreciated the CAAD management for its distinguished efforts provide the best of architecture education to tits students and congratulated the students for taking up architecture as a as course of study and encouraged them to learn architecture as they smile and play. At the same time he added that it is also requires a lot of commitment, determination and up to date knowledge to excel in the course.

GARGANTUA 2017 – CAAD CULTURALS AND OPEN HOUSE

CAAD hosted the first Open House and Culturals on April 07, 2017 at the college premises in Thumbakkam. During the forenoon session, the campus was host to various eminent architects, dignitaries, students, their parents and architectural aspirants who were invited to witness the display of basic design and architectural design works produced by the students of CAAD as a part of their academic curriculum.
