The Twelfth of the CAAD lecture series had an young Architect Mr. Vikram Yelure from Mind Space Architects, Bangalore (A winner of COA- NIASA National award for excellence in Architectural thesis 2015 and The Indian representative at the Asian Contest For Architectural Rookies 2013 in Osaka, Japan) who deliberated his lecture on the topic “SANGRAHA SANGAM: A decentralized idea of city museum for Pune” on 19th September 2015.

The lecture series was hosted by CAAD students with great zeal. Prof Vinodh Vijayakumar, Director, CAAD, introduced Mr. Vikram to the audience.

Mr. Vikram shared his experiences of student life in three sessions. In the first session he presented his award winning thesis project “Sangraha Sangam – A decentralised idea of city museum for Pune” and interestingly explained the evolution of his design part that took inspiration from the historical and cultural context of Pune. As the second session of the lecture Mr. Vikram presented his academic portfolio and gave glimpses of his various academic projects across semesters. In the concluding session he shared his personal experiences as student architect and highlighted the significance of the learning opportunities every architectural college provides to the student.

Mr. Vikram interacted with Students of CAAD and answered to various questions asked by the students on various topics.

Prof Vinodh Vijayakumar, Director, CAAD felicitated the speaker with a memento at the end of the session. The event concluded with vote of thanks by CAAD student representative and with a high tea.
